â—† Our Drive â—†

For over two decades, the team behind Pro Performance Wheels has been embedded in the alloy wheel and aerospace metal finishing industries. That depth of experience didn't just inform our next move — it demanded it. The time had come to close the loop: to stop finishing wheels and start building them, right here on American soil.

A Facility Built
for the Future.

Our 166,000 sq. ft. manufacturing campus in Bedford Heights, Ohio brings every critical discipline under one roof — Design, Engineering, Casting, Heat Treating, Machining, and Finishing. This isn't your grandfather's factory floor. Pro Performance Wheels was designed from the ground up around advanced automation and cutting-edge manufacturing technologies, producing castings and finished wheels held to the same rigorous standards demanded by the world's top automakers.

Every wheel that leaves our facility has been tested for safety — because the people riding on them are someone's family.

Combined with our existing world-class polishing and painting capabilities, what we've built is a complete, vertically integrated American manufacturing operation.

The People
Behind the Brand.

Our team brings more than 200 combined years of hands-on experience across the alloy wheel, automotive, and aerospace manufacturing sectors. That knowledge doesn't sit in a boardroom — it lives on the production floor, and we're committed to passing it to the next generation of American manufacturing professionals.

An American
Story.

In 2000, husband and wife Louis and Lisa Virost bet everything on a simple belief: that a need existed, and they could fill it. With credit cards, a home mortgage, no customers, and 7,000 square feet of rented space, the two left corporate America behind and founded Applied Metals Technologies, Ltd. Their early innovation — specialized equipment to mechanically strip aluminum wheels — was just the beginning.

Twenty-five years later, that bet has grown into a 320,000 sq. ft. operation employing more than 45 people, with capabilities spanning metal finishing, wheel painting and coating, aluminum polishing, and nearly 18 years of direct Tier 1 and Tier 2 OEM wheel supply. Applied Metals didn't survive by playing it safe. It survived by innovating.

Pro Performance Wheels is the natural next chapter of that story.

Why It Matters.

For years, we've watched manufacturing leave the United States — casualties of short-sighted trade policy and the false premise that American labor can't compete. We reject that premise.

Innovation, automation, modernization, and operational discipline don't just close the gap — they redefine the game. Our plant was built to maximize efficiency and cost competitiveness without compromising the quality or safety that American consumers deserve. We've invested in proven equipment, robotics, and the kind of institutional expertise that only comes from decades in the industry.

Our business model is deliberately diversified — automotive wheels, aircraft wheels, and structural components for both industries — built to remain resilient across market cycles and to grow beyond any single segment. We will continue to collaborate with the brightest minds in manufacturing as we expand this vision.

This isn't just about wheels. It's about proving that American manufacturing isn't a relic — it's a competitive advantage waiting to be reclaimed.
